Pensioner threatened with chisel
A 74-year-old man has been attacked and threatened with a chisel.

The assailant called at the man's home in Lockleaze Road, Bristol at 1850 BST on Monday, asking to use a toilet.

The same man was then spotted at the side of the property. When the pensioner challenged him he knocked him to the ground.

The man then produced a chisel from a rucksack and threatened the victim, who shouted for help and managed to escape inside.

The 74-year-old was pursued by his attacker, who attempted to force open the front door, smashing a glass panel, before running off.

The offender is described as of mixed race, 6ft tall and of an athletic build.

He was in his mid-20s and wore a red and white knitted hat, blue and white T-shirt, blue shorts and trousers.

Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
