Skip company is fined over waste
A skip hire company has been fined after being found guilty of illegally dumping rubble.

The Environment Agency discovered that Bristol and Avon Skip Hire had been dumping rubble from a building site at Keynsham's Avon Valley Country Park.

The owners of the park had said the rubble was intended to be used for a car park.

The site did not have a licence for disposal of waste. The skip firm pleaded guilty and was fined 1,270.

Paula Sage from the Environment Agency said: "It is not acceptable to dump material of this nature without a licence, even if it is intended for a new construction such as a car park."
