Residents oppose housing development

A public meeting is being held on Wednesday for residents concerned about a new development in Coombe Dingle.

A developer wants planning permission to build a housing estate in the area.

The Westbury Lane United Neighbours' Association is opposed to the idea and has planned the meeting at Sea Mills school.


Fire destroys cars at garage

Eleven cars at a commercial garage in Bristol were destroyed by fire on Monday night.

Crews were called to the site at Whitchurch at about 2330 BST and stopped the flames spreading to a nearby building.

The cause of the blaze is not clear.
