A woman in her 70s suffered a fractured jaw while her husband suffered bruising as they were attacked by two men in Bristol.
The pair were resting on a bench near a cycle track near Greenbank Road, Easton on Tuesday evening when they were approached by two black men.
One grabbed the man's legs and pulled him, before taking his wallet.
One man then kicked the woman in the chest. She later received hospital treatment for a fractured jaw.
Police describe the offenders as aged between 20 and 25 years.
One man was 5ft 10ins and the other 6ft tall. One was wearing a dark hooded top with a grey jacket.
On Wednesday police appealed for a member of the public who called with information about the attack to contact them again.
A spokesman said he had called saying he was a witness to the recent robbery, but officers had been unable to hear his vital information on an answer phone message.
