Ex-Pc jailed for teen sex assault
A former policeman has been jailed for four years after admitting having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Kevin Hicks, 37, was branded a "disgrace to the police service" by a judge at Bristol Crown Court.

The former police officer from East Huntspill, Somerset, admitted having unlawful sex and indecently assaulting the youngster.

Judge David Ticehurst said: "You abused and preyed on a vulnerable young girl despite her mother's efforts."

Hicks was suspended from the police in February 2004.

The girl, who is now 16, said she was in love with Hicks and had wanted a sexual relationship with him.
