Consultation on development plans
Hengrove Park
The plans have not yet been finalised
A series of public meetings is to be held to debate the future of Hengrove Park in Bristol.

A community hospital, leisure centre and swimming pool, offices and housing are being considered for the area under a public-private initiative.

The South West Regional Development Agency says detailed proposals will be put together after the consultation.

An exhibition on the background and history of the potential development will be on display at the meetings.

The meetings
16 September: Whitchurch Sports Centre, 1300 to 2000 BST
21September: Filwood Library, 1400 to 2000 BST
22 September: Redcatch Community Association in Knowle, 1300 to 2000 BST
23 September: The Gatehouse Centre, 1300 to 2000 BST
The South West RDA is co-funding research into the feasibility of the plans with the city council.

An RDA spokeswoman told BBC News Online: "This is a real opportunity for people to get involved, to make South Bristol a significant part of the city."
