Man named after fatal accident
A man who died in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Brislington has been named as Darren Jeffrey Jobbins.

Mr Jobbins, 38, of Whitmoor Avenue, Broom Hill, Bristol, was found dead in School Road on Thursday.

Shortly after midnight, local residents reported a "loud bang" to police and a body was found in the road.

A 35-year-old Bristol man who gave himself up to police was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen Mr Jobbins in the hours leading up to his death.

It is believed he may have been to several local pubs earlier in the night, including the Kings Arms, Holly Bush and White Hart.
