Police in Bristol are hunting a robber who held up a shop in the city armed with a revolver and a large knife.
The man burst into the Dillons One Stop store on Whiteladies Road at 0615 GMT on Wednesday as staff were preparing to open for the day.
Threatening them with the gun and a knife with an eight or nine-inch blade, he forced workers to hand over a large amount of cash and phone cards.
Officers investigating the theft are appealing for anyone who saw the man outside the shop to contact them.
Dark clothing
The man is described as black, in his 20s, about 5ft 9ins tall and of muscular build.
He was wearing a waist-length dark blue waterproof jacket, dark jeans, a dark hat pulled down over his face, and had a dark patterned scarf covering his nose and mouth.
He was carrying a dark blue laptop-style bag diagonally across his body.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police or Crimestoppers.
