Woman dies in suspected poisoning

Sana Abbasi had been in hospital for weeks with a mystery illness

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the suspected poisoning of a Bradford woman.

Sana Abbasi, 22, of Pollard Park, died on Friday at Bradford Royal Infirmary where she had been treated for several weeks for an unexplained illness.

Detectives are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

A 23-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were arrested and bailed pending further inquiries. Another man and woman remain in police custody.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's homicide and major inquiry team appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
