A-level student died in reservoir

A teenager who died in a reservoir in West Yorkshire had been on a trip with friends during a break from their A-level studies, police have said.

Jack Chapman, 17, of Hounslow, west London, was found dead in Widdop Reservoir near Hebden Bridge on Wednesday.

The teenager had been swimming when his friends lost sight of him.

West Yorkshire Police were called and his body was discovered by divers after a four-hour search.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned in Bradford.
