Body found after reservoir search

The alarm was raised by the teenager's friends

Police divers have found the body of a 17-year-old boy who disappeared while swimming in a reservoir.

The teenager's friends alerted police after they lost sight of him while they were swimming at Widdop Reservoir, near Hebden Bridge, at 1335 BST.

West Yorkshire Police said the boy was pulled from the reservoir after a four-hour search.

The teenager has not been named but was thought to be from London. The coroner has been informed.
