Police are continuing their hunt for a 67-year-old man over a shooting which left one man dead and another critically ill.

A 44-year-old man was found dead after the shooting at a house in Ashbourne Road, Bradford, on Monday. His 31-year-old partner was shot in the chest.

The 31-year-old was in a critical condition but is now said to be stable.

Police want to speak to 67-year-old Ernest Wright about the incident and have warned people not to approach him.

'Domestic incidents'

Mr Wright is thought to be driving a black Mitsubishi Shogun vehicle with the registration number J264 RJC.

Det Supt Chris Thompson, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "An extensive investigation is under way into the incident.

"We are continuing to appeal to members of the public who may have any information as to the whereabouts of Mr Ernest Wright to contact us as soon as possible.

"It is vital that we speak with Mr Wright at the earliest opportunity and I would stress that members of the public should not under any circumstances approach him, but contact us on 999."

Police said the shooting had followed a serious of "domestic incidents" at the house over the weekend.
