Two 16-year-olds have admitted killing a 17-year-old who was found dead in a West Yorkshire park.

Ibrar Hussain, of North Stead Avenue, Ravensthorpe, and Hassan Ali Rehman, of Broomer Street, Ravensthorpe, admitted the manslaughter of Amar Aslam in May.

The attack happened in Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury, Leeds Crown Court heard.

A man aged 20 and a 16-year-old youth already admitted Amar's murder when they appeared in court on Tuesday. A fifth defendant was discharged.

Amin Hussain Ali, 20, and Asif Khan, 16, pleaded guilty to the murder when they appeared in court on Tuesday.

The fifth defendant, a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named, was discharged after the prosecution offered no evidence.

Robbed of money

Amar died from head injuries in the park on 25 May.

He had been robbed of a sum of money, a mobile phone, a chain and a quantity of cannabis, the court heard.

All five defendants were due to go on trial on Tuesday charged with the murder and robbery of Amar.

However, Amin Hussain Ali, 20, of Field Lane, Ravensthorpe, and Asif Khan, 16, of Broomer Street, Ravensthorpe, entered guilty pleas to murder at the beginning of the trial.

Hussain and Reham pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter, which was accepted by the prosecution.

Mr Justice Maddison said a not guilty verdict would be appropriate in the respect of the fifth defendant.

The four defendants will be sentenced at a later date.
