Van driver flees would-be thieves

Two teenagers tried to drag the driver of a delivery van out of his seat during an attempt to steal the vehicle.

West Yorkshire Police said the man was making deliveries in Bradford's Barkerend Road when he was approached by the youths early on Saturday.

They tried to haul the driver from his seat, but he managed to close the door. As he made his escape one of the youths smashed a window on the van.

Both teenagers were described as white and wore hoodies during the attack.
