Dead girl was accused's daughter

A two-year-old girl who died in hospital after suffering multiple injuries has been named by police.

Sanam Navsarka died in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary last Thursday night.

The girl's mother Zahbeena Navsarka and her partner Subhan Anwar, both 21, are in custody facing charges of causing grevious bodily harm and child neglect.

Sanam's death was reported to police by hospital staff. West Yorkshire Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Ms Navsarka and Mr Anwar, of Riddings Road, Sheepridge, Huddersfield are due to appear before Bradford Crown Court next Monday.
