Homes planned for riot-hit site
The damaged garage in 2001
The dealership later moved four miles away
A former car dealership which was burnt to the ground during the Bradford riots is being transformed seven years on.

The BMW garage in Manningham was attacked in a night of rioting in July 2001. The damage caused was valued at more than £1.5m.

The site is now being turned into 60 homes, offices, a restaurant and shopping plaza.

The £4.5m development is expected to be completed by the spring.

Developers said they were proud to be turning the site around. The firm which owned the garage later reopened the dealership four miles away.
