Fresh appeal over missing student
Missing student Tobiasz Minski

Detectives have stepped up their investigation into the disappearance of a Polish student.

Tobiasz Minski, 23, from Huddersfield, was last seen in the early hours on 9 November in the village of Slaithwaite.

Officers spent Thursday night focusing their hunt in the village and distributed leaflets and posters appealing for new information.

Det Supt Paul Kennedy said: "We are increasingly concerned. His family and friends are deeply worried about him."

'Out of character'

Mr Minski was last seen getting out of a taxi outside the Shoulder of Mutton pub at about 0530 GMT but detectives said his movements after that were unknown.

Det Supt Kennedy added: "He may have been on his own or he may have been in the company of someone else.

"I would ask people in Slaithwaite to have a think - would they have been up at that time and if they were, did they see anything out of the ordinary or anything unusual.

"It is deeply out of character for him to go missing for so long."
