Residents return after gas scare
Fire crews pour water on the overheated cylinders
Fire crews worked to cool the cylinders after the van fire
The residents of around 500 homes who had been evacuated from their homes in Bradford after flames spread from a van fire to gas cylinders have returned.

Several roads in the Laisterdyke area of the city were cleared including Leeds Road, Barkerend Road and Lapage street as a safety precaution.

About 150 people spent the night sheltering in the Richard Dunn sports centre and the Karmand centre.

Others were thought to have spent the night with relatives or friends.

Fire crews spent Saturday night spraying water on to the canisters to cool them down.
