Lorry accident leaves man injured
A 20-year-old man is seriously ill in hospital after his car collided with a lorry in West Yorkshire.

The unidentified driver, from Normanton, was travelling along Altofts Lane in Whitwood, Castleford, when the accident happened on Sunday evening.

His 18-year-old female passenger in the blue Ford Fiesta car was also taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

The driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries and shock but did not require hospital treatment.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police urged anyone who had seen the accident to contact them.
