Police have released two men arrested over the murder of a pensioner who died after being attacked during an argument with youths in Bradford.

Alan Sheard, 67, of St Hilda's Terrace in Bradford, was walking along Leeds Road, Thornbury, on Sunday night when he got into an argument with the group.

It is believed one of the youths then assaulted him.

The 19-year-old arrested was released on bail and the 23-year-old was released without charged.

Officers have also spoken to two youths aged 12 and 14. They were not arrested.

West Yorkshire Police said the group was thought to be Asian, with three people in their late teens.

Detectives have also appealed for anyone who saw the attack to come forward.
