Police hunt after city shooting

A man has been shot in the chest in Bradford.

Police were called to the Tong Street area of the city on Monday night where they found the 26-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

The area surrounding Tong Street was cordoned off for several hours and police are appealing for witnesses.
