More charged over cabbie's death

Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of a taxi driver in Huddersfield.

Mohammad Parvaiz, 41, died from head injuries after being attacked while working in Golcar, West Yorkshire, on Saturday night.

Christopher Murphy, 18, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Huddersfield on Friday.

His 16-year-old co-accused was remanded to a secure unit. Both will appear at Bradford Crown Court on 2 August.

Michael David Hand, 19, and three other teenagers who cannot be named for legal reasons, have already been charged with murder and will also appear at Bradford Crown Court on 2 August.

They have also been charged with violent disorder.

Mr Parvaiz lived in Birkby, Huddersfield, with his wife of 15 years and their three children. He had been a taxi driver for seven years.
