Argument 'led to salon shooting'
An argument between two men is believed to have led to a shooting at a hairdressers in Bradford.

Five people suffered minor injuries during the incident "in and around" the Cut Above The Rest hairdressers in Manchester Road on Thursday afternoon.

West Yorkshire Police said a man entered the shop and started arguing with a man who was having a haircut.

The argument continued outside and a short time later two gun shots were fired from a blue Subaru Impreza car.

Armed police responded to the incident but did not use their weapons.

Abandoned cars

A force spokesman said a Fiat Punto was damaged during the argument outside the shop before the shots were fired.

Both cars were found abandoned a short time later - the Punto in Rutland Street, Bradford, and the Impreza in Beamsley Road, Shipley.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the vehicles on Thursday to come forward.

The five injured men suffered "superficial" injuries and four of them, two aged 29, one aged 32 and one aged 72, have been released from hospital. The fifth man, aged 26, is still undergoing treatment.

The spokesman said police were grateful for the large amount of witnesses who have come forward so far, but appealed for anyone else with information to get in touch. He said officers were following active lines of inquiry on Friday.
