Pc murder accused held in custody

Yusuf Jama has been remanded in custody
A 19-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, who was shot during a raid in Bradford.

Yusuf Jama, of Whitmore Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, was arrested on Saturday. He is due to re-appear in court in Leeds on 7 December.

Mr Jama also faced robbery and firearms charges when he appeared before magistrates in Leeds.

Pc Beshenivsky was shot during a raid at a travel agency on 18 November.

Her colleague Pc Teresa Milburn was injured.

Two other men - Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 24, and Mr Jama's brother Mustaf, 25 - are still wanted in connection with her death.
