Bail extended in Shafilea inquiry
Shafilea Ahmed
Shafilea was last seen alive in September 2003
Eight Bradford relatives of murdered teenager Shafilea Ahmed have had their bail extended until January.

Shafilea, 17, went missing from home in Warrington, Cheshire in September 2003. Her body was found in the River Kent at Sedgwick in Cumbria in January 2004.

She drank bleach during a trip to Pakistan after meeting a potential suitor for an arranged marriage.

The eight were arrested in September 2004 on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Shafilea's family have always strenuously denied any wrongdoing.

Her parents were arrested on suspicion of kidnap, but were never charged.
