Family saved from city flat blaze

A woman and her two young children are recovering after they were rescued from a flat fire in West Yorkshire.

A neighbour called emergency crews to the flat blaze in Holme Wood, Bradford, during the early hours of Thursday.

The neighbour then forced their way into the property and led the three people to safety, a fire service spokesman said.

All three were treated for smoke inhalation. The fire started after a chip pan caught alight.
