Car lead in city murder inquiry

Police say the car could hold vital evidence to help catch the killer
Detectives investigating the murder of a Bradford father-of-one want to trace a car that may have been used by his killer on the night of the attack.

Mohammed Abdul Basier, 27, was stabbed to death in Lumb Lane, after he left the West End Bar. His body was found in the early hours of Sunday, 22 February.

Police want to trace a black Seat Ibiza car, registration K638 GWG, which was seen in the area.

They say it is crucial to find it as it may hold vital evidence.

Mr Basier's attacker is described as about 30-years-old, 5ft 3ins tall, 30-years-old with dark hair and of Middle Eastern appearance.

Det Supt John Parkinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "The suspect is believed to be a dangerous man who may in possession of a knife and should not be approached.

"The car, if seen, should not be touched and the police contacted immediately."
