'Same man' behind Bracknell abductions and sex attacks

Police in Berkshire believe the same man is behind three abductions and two serious sex assaults on teenage girls in Bracknell.

The first attack happened in November when a 16-year-old girl was forced into a car in Warfield, taken to a secluded place and attacked.

On 6 May a 14-year-old was grabbed by a man in the Hanworth area but escaped.

Two hours later a 15-year-old girl was dragged into a vehicle near Oxenhope in Wildridings, driven off and attacked.

Taken to caravan

The first victim said the man had put his grey beanie hat over her eyes so she could not see where they were heading.

He then drove for about 10 minutes - stopping the car several times, possibly to open gates - before they arrived at a secluded place where he took her into a temporary structure, possibly a caravan.

She was then attacked and throughout the ordeal the man repeatedly threatened to kill her.

After the assault, the girl persuaded the attacker to take her back to where he grabbed her.

The third victim was abducted as she walked home from school at about 1830 BST.

She told police she was also driven to a quiet place and attacked in what she thought was a caravan.

Four men have been arrested and released on bail and police said it was the investigation was continuing.

School uniform

They want to hear from anyone who may have seen the girls or the attacker or has any information about the incidents.

In particular, they would like to trace a cyclist who rode past as the third victim was being dropped off by the man on Thursday - polling day - at about 2100 BST in Netherton, Wildridings.

The girl was in her school uniform with a distinctive green blazer.

Officers also want to talk to a group of boys who she walked past outside Wildriding shops and who may have seen something.

The attacker is thought to be local and appears to know the Bracknell area well, police said.

They said he was able to drop the girls back to their home area without directions.

He is described as of medium build, aged between 20 and 40, with brown eyes and a deep voice.
