Driver quizzed over death of woman, 80, in Slough crash

A driver has been arrested after he hit an elderly female pedestrian who later died in hospital.

Officers were called to Farnham Road, Slough, at 1154 GMT on Saturday after a silver BMW left the road and hit the 80-year-old woman.

She was taken to Wexham Park Hospital by air ambulance but later died.

The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s from Slough, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
