Refuse collectors work overtime

Rubbish collection teams in Berkshire have been asked to work overtime to help clear the backlog of refuse left after the heavy snow.

Many households in Reading could not be reached by refuse collectors and bins have not been emptied for nearly two weeks.

Reading Borough Council has asked residents to leave their bins out if they have not been collected.

Other households should put their rubbish out on the normal day.
