Man pushes woman into windscreen

Witnesses have told police how a man attacked a woman and smashed her head into a car windscreen before the pair drove off in another vehicle.

The alleged incident happened in Reading on Sunday.

Passer-bys reported seeing the pair arguing before the man pushed the woman's head into the rear windscreen of a nearby car, breaking the glass.

The incident happened in Erleigh Road at about 1300 GMT. Thames Valley Police are appealing for information.

The man is described as white, about 6ft 2ins tall, about 25 years old and slim.

He was clean shaven and had short dark hair under a black baseball cap and wore a jacket with a white and grey camouflage design.

The female victim is described as black, older than the man and of large build.

She had black hair in a pony tail and was wearing a dark coloured jacket and blue jeans.

The pair left the scene in a silver hatchback car.
