Bogus police target residents

Berkshire residents are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries where offenders posed as police officers.

Cash and jewellery were stolen from a house in Langley, near Slough, and money was also stolen from an elderly resident in the town centre by two men.

Police said an elderly resident from Manor Park was also targeted by a woman claiming to be a police officer.

It is not known whether all three incidents on Thursday are linked.

Any witnesses should contact Thames Valley Police.
