A man has been jailed for life for murdering a teenager who was stabbed outside a shopping centre in Reading.

Eighteen-year-old Juan-Claude McKenley, from Reading, was attacked outside the Broad Street Mall on 4 April and died later at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Deno Brown, 27, also from Reading, who denied murder, was found guilty at the town's crown court on 7 October.

On Friday he was sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve a minimum of 17 years.

Brown also denied two counts of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, charges which the judge ordered to lie on file.
