A man and a woman thought to be in their 60s have died following a fire in a garden shed at a house in Berkshire. Firefighters arrived at the address in Kennet Place, Burghfield Common, to find the shed adjacent to a garage alight just after 2000 BST on Thursday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene but the woman died the following morning at Royal Berkshire Hospital. It is not yet known how the fire began. Police are conducting house-to-house inquiries and appealing for witnesses.
