A teenager who admitted causing death by dangerous driving after a man's body was found in a garden has been jailed for three years and three months.

Ryan Batt, 28, from Reading, Berkshire, was discovered in the town's Shinfield Road by police on 1 June 2008.

Timon Douglin, 18, of Upper Meadow Road, admitted causing Mr Batt's death, failing to stop, failing to report an accident and driving without insurance.

He was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday.

Although Douglin admitted the charges, his defence team disputed whether he knew he had hit Mr Batt at the time of the incident.
