Tests to establish how a four-month-old baby died after he was admitted to hospital with serious injuries were due to take place on Friday.

The baby was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Monday night.

He was later transferred to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital where he died at 0350 BST on Tuesday.

An address in Sedgewell Road in Sonning Common, between Reading and Henley-on-Thames, was later cordoned off. A 24-year-old man was arrested and bailed.

Officers are currently treating the death as unexplained.

Social services in Oxfordshire first alerted Thames Valley Police to the boy's condition on Monday.
