The building rubble was dumped on two separate days

More than seven tonnes of building rubble dumped in the middle of a road has sparked a public plea from a council trying to find the culprit. The debris was deposited in St Valerie Road and Dean Park Crescent in Bournemouth on Saturday and Tuesday, the borough council said. It added that the clean-up cost was more than £800. The council, which believes a building contractor is responsible, wants people to get in contact with information. Larry Austin, street services manager at Bournemouth Borough Council, said: "We take fly-tipping extremely seriously - it is illegal, a nuisance, an eyesore and can be a danger and we will take action to prosecute those responsible."
