Railway station extends car park

Train (South West Trains)
A £20m expansion to improve facilities is being carried out across the network.

Rail passengers using a Berkshire station will be able to benefit from 150 extra parking spaces.

South West Trains upgraded the car park at Wokingham station in a bid to make train travelling more accessible.

The work is part of a £20m expansion programme to improve facilities and at least 2,000 additional parking spaces across the network.

There will also be increased CCTV as well as improved lighting throughout the car park.

New spaces have been created by re-modelling of the existing car park and some minor infrastructure works.
