Two pedestrians killed in crashes

Two pedestrians have died following separate crashes on Berkshire roads.

A 47-year-old man died in hospital after being hit by a Vauxhall Astra on the A339 in Newbury on Saturday. The male car driver was held and bailed.

Another man was killed early on Monday after he was hit by a Mercedes Sprinter van on Burghfield Road, Burghfield.

Police believe he is a 28-year-old man from Reading. Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
