Three men charged with the murder of a Berkshire teenager have failed in a bid to have the charges dropped.

Robert Spence, 17, of Burghfield Common, was stabbed during a row in Reading. Another man was injured.

Carlton Miles, 28, Jamal Powell, 28, and Leon Wilson, 32, argued there was insufficient evidence, but their claims were rejected at Reading Crown Court.

Nicholas Olu, 30, denies murder and attempted murder and will stand trial on 16 February.

Mr Olu, of Sydenham Road, Mr Miles, of Bridge Street, Mr Powell, of Thicket Road, and Mr Wilson, of Firfield Street - all Bristol - were remanded in custody.

A fifth man, David Brooks, of no fixed address, has also been charged with murder and remanded in custody.
