An 18-year-old has admitted causing death by dangerous driving after a man's body was found in a Berkshire garden.

Ryan Batt, 28, from Reading, was discovered in the town's Shinfield Road by police on 1 June, 2008.

Timon Douglin, of Upper Meadow Road, admitted causing his death, failing to stop, failing to report an accident and driving without insurance.

A further hearing will take place at Reading Crown Court on 19 February.

Although Douglin has admitted the charges, his defence team dispute that he knew he had hit Mr Batt at the time of the incident.

A judge will rule on the matter at the hearing with sentencing due afterwards.
