School pupils asked to stay home

Two schools in Berkshire are asking pupils to stay at home after freezing temperatures caused boiler problems and burst pipes.

Years four, five and six at Owlsmoor Primary School in Sandhurst are being asked to stay at home on Tuesday and Wednesday.

All other pupils at the school have been asked to attend as normal.

Meanwhile Moorlands Primary School in Tilehurst, near Reading, is closed all day on Tuesday.
