Festive shoppers Sunday bus rides

A special Sunday park and ride bus service has got under way for shoppers in Reading over Christmas and New Year.

Reading Borough Council's fast track Park and Ride buses will take passengers from the Madejski Stadium free car park into the town centre.

The tickets cost £2.80 for an adult return and £1.40 for a child return.

The service will continue until 4 January. The buses run every 12 minutes from 0900 GMT and the final bus back from St Mary's Butts is at 1740 GMT.

There are 600 free car parking spaces at the stadium at junction 11 on the M4.
