Credit union's lottery cash plea

A Berkshire credit union has appealed for residents to help it relocate to a new town centre building by nominating it for National Lottery funding.

Reading Credit Union, a local savings charity, has applied for a share of £5.5m from the People's Millions Big Lottery Fund, now due to be allocated.

The scheme is to award up to £50,000 to 89 organisations to improve the quality of life within communities.

People are being asked to vote on Wednesday by contacting the union.
