Two brothers from Berkshire who were on holiday in Vietnam have been discovered dead in their hotel room, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

The bodies of Martin Taylor, 37, and Gareth Taylor, 35, from Reading, were found in their Hanoi hotel last week.

The cause of the deaths is not clear, but is not thought to be suspicious.

Another man - understood to be 24-year-old Duncan McNamara from Camberley, Surrey - was travelling with them and is being treated in hospital.

'Shocked and devastated'

A statement released by Thames Valley Police on behalf of the brothers' family said: "It is with tremendous grief and sadness but I can confirm that Martin and Gareth Taylor passed away last week while on a holiday to Vietnam.

"Martin's wife, their families, and friends are shocked and devastated to hear this news and would ask that you respect their privacy at this difficult time."

The bodies were found on 30 October.

A Foreign Office spokesman, said: "Two British nationals have died and another is currently in hospital. We are providing assistance to their families."
