A woman's body has been identified as the wife of a man wanted in connection with her death, police have revealed.

Mother-of-two Victoria Hudson, 39, was found in Buttercup Place, Thatcham, Berkshire, on Monday. A post-mortem revealed she died from asphyxiation.

A man found dead in a car on Tuesday is believed to be her husband Andrew Hudson, 43, although he has not yet been formally identified.

Police had been trying to trace Mr Hudson over his wife's death.

'Beautiful children'

The man's body was found in a black Rover 620, at Catmore, near Newbury.

A forensic post-mortem examination is due to take place on Thursday.

Mrs Hudson's family described her in a statement as a "wonderful loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by so many".

"She will be remembered for all the support she gave those around her and the pride that she took in her two beautiful children," the statement said.

"She was generous with her time and her talents and we are privileged and blessed to be part of her family."
