Views sought on village parking

A consultation period for proposals to ease parking problems in a Berkshire village is to end this week.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council has drawn up a range of options for the ongoing problems in Clewer Village, Windsor.

The options include residents' parking permits - with two available per property - to cut "the abuse of on-street car parking by non-residents".

The consultation period ends on Friday, the borough council said.

A spokesman said: "The number of resident parking permits would be limited to two per property.

"[And] the number of permits allowed will be reduced by any off-street parking allocated to the property."

The roads involved in the plan include the Mill Lane, Clewer Court Road and Stephenson Drive.
