Body found near industrial unit

A man found dead near an industrial unit in Berkshire died from an injury to his hand, police have said.

A passer-by found the body behind an industrial unit in Arnhem Road, Newbury, on Monday morning.

Post-mortem tests showed the man, in his 20s, died from an injury to his hand, which resulted in a considerable loss of blood.

Police believe the injury could have been accidental and they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Det Sgt Neil Williams said: "Although this death is not thought to be suspicious at this time, police are continuing to investigate exactly what happened prior to the man's death.

"I am keen to speak to anyone who saw a young man with a noticeable injury to his hand, or who heard a commotion, between 3am and 9am on Monday in the area of Hambridge Road, Arnhem Road and Junction Terrace area of Newbury."
