Lottery cash benefits play areas

More than £230,000 from the Big Lottery Fund is to be used to improve children's play services in Berkshire.

Most of the money awarded to the Royal Windsor and Maidenhead council will be fund a play rangers'.

A project to develop play before and after school will also be set up along with two new play areas in Old Windsor and Eton Wick.

Councillor Eileen Quick, lead member for children's services, described the play rangers as "invaluable".
