One killed in street gang fight

The cordoned-off St Mary's Butts area of the town
The area is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day

One man has died and another has been seriously injured in a street fight in Reading.

Police believe two gangs were involved in the fight in the St Mary's Butts area of the town at about 0400 BST.

Two men were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, where one man later died of his injuries.

Scenes of crime officers are carrying out forensic searches and the area is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day.
